The kingdom of Toro has identified several development projects that call for immediate attention. All the projects identified are culturally and economically interlinked with the well being of the people of Toro. The successful completion of these projects will result in the restoration of the people's faith in their king as their true cultural leader; the general elevation of cultural awareness among the people of Toro; increased economic, political and health awareness at the grassroots level; the creation of employment opportunities; and the alleviation of poverty.
TARGETTED AREAS FOR DEVELOPMENT
Targetted areas for development and/or restoration include rehabilitation or reconstruction of the Omukama's Palace, which is the cultural hub of the kingdom; the completion of the Cultural Center, a multipurpose facility for the advancement of the performing and recording arts; reorganization of the Royal Dance Troupe; implementing and overseeing various humanitarian projects; and the restoration of the Royal Tombs.
